Zinnias attract important pollinators like bees, butterflies, and bumblebees with their sweet nectar. This helps not only the Zinnias to grow, but also the other crops on our farm. Pollinators play a big role in keeping all the plants healthy. They also help lessen the threat of aphids by feasting on them, providing a natural form of pest control.
Aside from their practical benefits, Zinnias make our farm more colorful. We grow them in different colors and sizes (diameters range from about one inch to seven inches). Some are really big and can be used in bouquets, while others, though smaller, produce lots of beautiful flowers. They are also great as cut flowers. They have strong stems and last a long time in a vase.
We are proud of not only growing lovely flowers like Zinnias, but also being able to create a haven of biodiversity.
